LACPA Exam Training & Preparation Program: All Four Subjects, One Track

This program has one goal: passing the LACPA exam in Lebanon. Mahmoud Chehade has guided hundreds of candidates through it over 30 years in Lebanese accounting, audit and tax, and the track is built the way the examiners think rather than the way a textbook is organised. All four subjects - managerial accounting, IFRS, auditing, and Lebanese law and taxation - run as one coordinated plan, and every session pairs the theory the paper tests with the real Lebanese practice behind it. Live in Beirut or online, in English or Arabic.

These are coaching programs, so the duration above is a guide rather than a fixed timetable. The pace and the number of sessions are set around your current level and how quickly each topic lands, so you finish genuinely able to apply the material rather than simply on schedule.

Why LACPA Candidates Train Here

Coached by someone who has practised accounting for 30 years

Mahmoud Chehade has worked in Lebanese accounting, audit and tax since 1997. You are coached by someone who has filed the returns and signed the accounts the paper asks about, not a lecturer reading slides.

Lebanese practice, not translated US material

Every case is Lebanese: the tax code, the commercial law, the way IFRS is applied here. Generic international prep leaves candidates fluent in theory and lost in the local paper.

One coordinated track, not four separate courses

The four subjects are planned together, so your study calendar covers the whole syllabus and the overlaps between papers are taught once, properly, instead of four times badly.

In person in Hamra or live online

Join the room on Hamra Main Street in Beirut, or the same cohort live online if you are outside the city or working full time. Same plan, same instructor.

English or Arabic

Sessions run in whichever language you think in under exam pressure, and the Lebanese law and taxation material is worked against the statutes as they are written.

Carry one paper? Resit one paper

Each subject is also its own course, so a candidate who fails a single paper prepares for that one alone at its own fee rather than repeating the whole program.

What’s Included

The program covers all 4 LACPA exam subjects. Each one can also be taken on its own if you only need to sit a single paper.

  • Managerial Accounting for LACPA Exam

The managerial accounting subject of the LACPA exam, drilled to the standard the examiners set, with the costing and decision analysis the paper returns to every sitting.

    $247 on its own

  • IFRS for LACPA Exam

The IFRS subject of the LACPA exam: the standards the paper actually tests, applied to Lebanese practice and answered to the examiners' standard.

    $247 on its own

  • Auditing for LACPA Exam

The auditing subject of the LACPA exam, from planning and risk through evidence and sampling to the audit report itself.

    $247 on its own

  • Law and Taxation for LACPA Exam

The Lebanese law and taxation subject of the LACPA exam, covering the code, the returns, and the case-style questions the examiners favour.

    $247 on its own

Taken separately, the 4 subjects come to $988. As one program they are $797, a saving of 20%.

Common Questions

Who is eligible to sit the LACPA exam?

LACPA requires a university degree in accounting and a period of supervised traineeship under a LACPA member, normally three to five years, before full membership. Under the association's bylaws, trainee members sit the professional exam after their first year of traineeship and must pass it within five years of that first year. Requirements can change, so confirm your own position with LACPA before you plan a sitting; we check it with you at the start of the program.

When is the LACPA exam held, and when should I start preparing?

LACPA sets the exam calendar and publishes it on lacpa.org.lb; its published past papers include a December sitting, so a winter session is typical, but always confirm the current dates with the association. Most candidates need several months of structured preparation across the four subjects, which is why the program is planned as one track rather than four separate courses. Tell us your target sitting and we will map the timeline backwards from it.

What does the LACPA Certification Program cover?

All four subjects the LACPA exam tests: managerial accounting, IFRS, auditing, and Lebanese law and taxation. They are taught as one coordinated track, so your study plan runs across the whole syllabus instead of treating each paper as an unrelated course. The program page lists every subject with what it covers, and each links through to its own page.

Can I take one LACPA subject on its own, or do I have to take the whole program?

Either works. The LACPA Certification Program covers all four exam subjects together: managerial accounting, IFRS, auditing, and Lebanese law and taxation. Each of those four is also a full course on its own, with its own fee, which suits anyone resitting a single paper or shoring up one weak area. If you are sitting the whole exam, the complete program is the better route: it is taught as one coordinated track rather than four separate starts, and it costs about 20% less than buying the four subjects one by one.

Can I prepare for the LACPA exam online, or do I need to be in Beirut?

Either. The program runs in person at our Hamra office in Beirut and live online in the same cohort, so a candidate outside Beirut, or working full time, follows exactly the same plan with the same instructor.

Is the LACPA preparation taught in English or Arabic?

Both. Sessions run in English or Arabic, whichever you think in under exam pressure, and the Lebanese law and taxation material is worked against the statutes as they are written.

What happens if I fail one LACPA paper?

You prepare for that paper alone. Each of the four subjects is also a full course on its own, so a candidate carrying one paper resits with focused preparation at that subject's fee rather than repeating the whole program. LACPA's own rules on resits and the five-year window apply, and we will check them with you.

What does LACPA membership require after I pass?

Registered CPAs must complete at least forty hours a year of continuing professional development through LACPA training, seminars and conferences, abide by the association's bylaws, pay the subscriptions and join the retirement fund. The license is the start of an obligation, not the end of one, and the program is built to leave you able to practise, not only to pass.

How much do the courses cost?

Every course page lists its fee, and that fee covers the whole program rather than a single session. The LACPA Certification Program is priced as one package covering all four exam subjects, and each of those subjects can also be taken on its own at its own fee. Because these are coaching programs, the plan is shaped around your starting level and the pace you actually learn at, so tell us your goal and we will confirm the right program and its cost before you commit. Organizations training a full team get a tailored rate.

How many hours is each course, and how long will it take?

The duration shown on each course page, a one-week or multi-week program, is a guide rather than a fixed timetable. This is coaching, so the number of sessions and the pace are set around your current level and how quickly each topic lands, which means two people on the same program can finish on different schedules. The aim is that you leave genuinely able to apply the material, not that you sat through a set number of hours. Tell us where you are starting from and we will map a realistic timeline with you.
